This subject is increasingly catching my attention. I have been researching hydroponic gardening, square foot gardening and backyard chickens. I am going to take several gardening classes in the next six weeks. In the event of economic/currency collapse, having the ability to grow your own food sure beats standing in line for govt gmo rations. Plus I can save a lot of money over buying produce and eggs from Whole Foods. I am going to post my experiences in this thread.

Thanks for posting Zuzu.... I'll be watching. My girlfriend and I got into gardening a few months ago. Not enough yet to feed ourselves but it has reaped some rewards. We plan to continue gardening and expanding what we already have.
