So this won't technically be launching till tomorrow, but I'd figure I'd give an advanced sneak peak to people who check this place regularly.
Let's Do Something is a new kind of website.
It's not another feel good blog;
it's not another flashy web 2.0 productivity app.
It's not a group-think "community" or some other such nonsense.
At it's heart, Let's Do Something is what's known as an action tank. It's sort of like a think tank except... we actually do stuff. As a result, we're less concerned with what "should work", and more concerned with what "does work". We're less concerned with "7 great tips to increase your happiness", and more concerned with "Let's increase our happiness in the next 7 weeks". We're less bothered with "Let's have a big forum with hundreds of members who can pat eachother on the back", and more bothered with "Let's have a lot of small forums, where people can kick eachother's asses if they're not taking action.". We're less focused on, "Let's have a shiny bells and whistles app that can track actions by context while simultaneously using the 4fold model of context switching to dynamically increase productivity," and more focused on "Here's the bare minimum features you need to get stuff done."
What actions are we trying to accomplish? Being the person you want to be. Living your ideal lifestyle in every way possible.
For those of you who were beta testers for ActionReactor, Let'sDoSomething is ActionReactor on steriods.
It includes monthly life changing challenges, weekly paradigm shifters (short articles that help you change your perspective on life), and an accountability section to keep you on track. Basically, I took everything that worked about actionreactor, removed everything that didn't, and added context. If you join, and take this seriously, you WILL change your life.
